Hi! I’ve got some catching up to do, don’t I? Today I’ll take you through a page I did last night in my journaling Bible, and later this week I’ll back track and show you some others that I worked on recently, too. 🙂
For this page, I chose to highlight Mark 10: 13-16:
One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him.
When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with his disciples. He said to them, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them.
I love the moments in scripture where children encounter Christ. The love that radiates out of those verses shows us just how much He adores those with child-like wonder. Which brings me to my page:
These are actually song lyrics from a Bethel Music song called “Wonder.” I thought it was appropriate to put them on this page! 🙂
… you can imagine my excitement when I realized I had a “wonder” dictionary sticker made by Heidi Swapp. 😉
My prayer today is that we never lose our wonder. Let us always be wide-eyed and mystified, staring at the beauty of our King. <3
