A little about my process:
I believe that each individual person is a work of art- a masterpiece painted into existence with great purpose and great value. And sometimes you just need a good old fashioned photo session to remind you of just how naturally beautiful you are, too.  This is why I believe in photographing with authenticity and providing you with an experience that will leave you walking away feeling… well, happy.  I won’t leave you frozen in front of a camera feeling awkward and clueless on what to do with your hands or mouth.  (If all else fails, hold the hand of whoever is next to you & laugh. Or just dance.) But you also won’t find me handing you props or forcing a smile on your face if you simply aren’t the “smiley” type, and I sure as heck am not going to wait for everyone’s eyes to meet my camera before I snap a photo.  In fact, my most favorite moments are the ones I capture when people are just being their gorgeous, sometimes messy, super-cool & kinda-quirky selves.  😉 I want to see the realness of your life and capture genuine expressions- and I want you to feel something when you look through your photographs.  My wish is that when you open your finished gallery, you’ll smile ear to ear as you see yourself for the magical, unique soul that you are.  (And if I’m photographing your kiddos, I hope that I can make you tear up just a tiny bit.)  😉

My photography style generally leans heavily on the documentary side, and you’ll find that I tend to gravitate towards moody black and white images (that never go out of style when hanging on your wall!) & grain-enhanced filmy colors.  What can I say?  I love the convenience/low cost of digital photography, but my heart is permanently set on the timeless beauty of film.  🙂

Still interested?  Great!  Pricing is as follows:

Family*, Maternity, and Engagement Sessions– starting at $325
-Includes 60-90 min. session
-Locations within 30 miles of Swanton, OH (outdoor or in-home)
-Minimum of 45 retouched images available for digital download or on USB drive (for additional fee + tax.) with print release for archival purposes.

*Includes immediate family members only.  I currently do not photograph extended family sessions.  Sorry for any inconvenience!

Newborn Storytelling Sessions
– $400
– Includes 2+ hour session in your own home
(Don’t stress about your home being magazine-ready.  You’ve got a newborn for goodness sake-  Let me handle it!  😉  Besides, it will barely be visible in the photos.  If you *must* do anything, just tidy up the nursery or a bedroom that has a nice window for bright lighting, and we’ll be all set!)
-Photographs will be documentary-style* as I will capture your family going through the motions of all that beautiful newborn baby stuff.  (i.e. diaper changes, sink baths, rocking, cuddling, swaddling, and feeding.)
– Short film included.
– Edited photos delivered via digital download or USB drive (for additional fee) with print release to print at leisure for archival purposes.

*Note: I do not take posed newborn photos with props, backdrops, etc.  Ever.  I also will not put your baby in a pumpkin at Halloween or stuff them in a stocking whilst being wrapped in twinkling lights at Christmastime.  Stay off Pinterest, my friends.  😉

Mini Sessions-
$200
– Includes 20 minute session
– Locations within 15 miles of 43558
– Approximately 10-15 edited images available for digital download
– PLEASE NOTE:  Mini Sessions are limited to single portraiture, branding photography, one child sessions, etc.  I do not take family portraits in 20 minutes.  Thank you for understanding!

Feel free to reach out if there is a particular session you’re hoping for but don’t see it listed.  I’m sure we can work something out.  😉  I look forward to creating beautiful photos with and for you!

Did I just throw the "softest birthday party ever?" 🦄 Can confirm. 🤣I surprised Dana with a Letterkenny themed party this year along with his very own Bonnie McMurray (@kamillakowal) to serve him a Puppers. Did he love it? That's a Texas sized 10-4. 🥰 Anyone that watches that show would get all the references I plastered around the house. Allegedly.Happy 38th birthday, babe! I'm glad you enjoyed your day cause I couldn't think of a better way to celly, boys. Ferda. 😉@letterkennyproblems
Good morning from Cinder! 🥰😽 Good morning from Cinder! 🥰😽
I've recently begun taking a low dose SSRI for PMD I've recently begun taking a low dose SSRI for PMDD/depression, & while it's not necessarily everyones business to know this information... I mean, it's me. Open book. And spoiler alert: these medicines work. 🤣It's amazing how you can walk around under a dense cloud for years & not even become truly aware of it until one day the fog is debilitating. In the past month, I've finally admitted to myself & everyone around me that something was terribly wrong. I journal daily, & those old journal entries are painful for me to read. Thank God for doctors/nurses/NPs that listen closely & offer help to we that are hurting. As it says in my Cognitive Behavioral Therapy workbook, "PMDD is to PMS what major depression is to feeling 'depressed' when one's favorite team loses." 👏👏👏 All this to say, if you have PMDD, DO NOT IGNORE IT and don't let anyone dismiss it as PMS. Well meaning people who just wish to empathize and give me assurance that I'm not alone have pushed my legitimate pain and concerns aside for years, telling me it's "normal." Finally, I found a doctor that listened and diagnosed me with PMDD, moderate depression, panic disorder, & anxiety. And I've gotten help.In my haze, I've caused destruction. Said things I can't take back but things I can at least attempt to apologize for. I've ignored friends without becoming aware that I've done it. I felt alone for so long, even in conversations & even when my body was physically present with friends. But once the fog lifted I discovered something beautiful-- the people I love never left my side, even if I couldn't see them. The density of my depression blocked them from view, but now that I see the sun again, I see their faces smiling back.I made this art journaling page the day I took my first pill. I held it in my hand crying that I didn't want to need it. But once I took it, relief. I was proud of myself for calling it quits on the mind games I was playing with myself. The "just meditate." The "exercise more and you'll feel better." The thousands of dollars on alternative treatments just to avoid the stigma of a pill I swore I'd never take. But Prozac won. I won. And everyone else did, too. I'm back. ❤
I got this journal a while back, but it hasn't bee I got this journal a while back, but it hasn't been used because 1. The leather absolutely stunk to the point of triggering a migraine when I first unwrapped it (like what on earth chemicals did they soak this in?!)... and 2. I didn't care for the paper inside because I'm picky. 😉 But after a month or two of airing out the stank, I think I figured out how to use it. I was already planning on making a mini album using @maggiehdesign Garden Party collection to document this years gardening with the girls, and now I've got the perfect cover. Time to take this leather book apart and rebind it using the papers from the collection! I'll show ya when I'm done... whenever that may be. 😋 Anyways, happy Monday! Hope you all have a great start to the week! ❤#maggieholmesgardenparty #cratepaper #memorykeeping #minialbum
