Hi, everyone!! Can I just talk about how happy I am to have found a great beach within a reasonable driving distance for a day trip? Seriously never expected to have that when we made the move from Virginia Beach (we literally lived one mile from the oceanfront!) and hiked on up to Ohio. But as it turns out, there are great family beaches on Lake Erie, and the three of us got to enjoy one for the first time over this past weekend.
Naturally, I had to document it with pretty papers. 😉 I used the Dear Lizzy Happy Place collection for this because, well, it should go without saying. For one, the beach is my happy place, and also, the papers are perfection!
I used a cut file from the Silhouette store to make the vellum Beach Babe overlay- The script is by the very talented Jodie York, whom I love. (Or is it who? Whom?! I never say that…)
The rubber tag is one of my favorites. I just hung it on an extra large gold paperclip so it’s still moveable. And, of course, I used my handy date stamp. 🙂
One of my favorite things I’ve been doing is displaying each scrapbook layout on the wall in my craft room after I complete it. I just hang it from a gold binder clip that just hooks around a simple nail I put in the wall… that way it’s easy to switch it out every few days (or whenever I make a new layout) without damaging the page. I’m a firm believer that our photos should be printed and our artwork displayed, so this is one way I practice what I preach. 😉
If you’d like to see me work on this page in real time (yep, it’s 30 minutes!), here it is:
And for those that enjoy seeing a peek into my life, here are some photos from our time at the beach.
