#ScrapMyWeek | No. 6

February 16, 2017

Yep… It’s possible that I’m simply going to be a week behind on this project from now on, and that’s ok.  If I catch up, I catch up.  If I don’t, I don’t.  I have a lot of extra things going on in other areas of my life, so I certainly don’t need to be making up silly rules for my creative endeavors, too.  Pressure’s off, y’all.   😉

That being said, here’s last week’s #scrapmyweek layout.  This layout tells the story about this.I really enjoy the “daintiness” of this page.  I used the reverse side of the Felicity Jane paper that I used on last week’s layout and then layered all sorts of prettiness on top.  I’ve been using both sides of the paper (and plan on doing that whenever I can) because at the end of the year, I’m going to bind them all together in one big book anyways.  Might as well not let any of that loveliness go to waste, right?
I really love layering things over old book pages- especially when they have words at the top that can really help tell the story of whatever memory I’m documenting.  I have a really cool old book that’s a “Dictionary of Thoughts” that I use a lot.  The book isn’t exactly useful in terms of reading, but I certainly put the pages to good use by repurposing them in scrapbook layouts, journals I create, etc.  I love finding old books that are collecting dust in thrift stores and bringing them back to life again.  😉
Anyways, I feel like this page of sweetness really helps capture the entire story of the day.  I think I’m going to print out the blog post I wrote about it and then bind that in my finished book, as well… because the few lines I typed out to fit on this page barely scratch the surface of the entire story.  😉
Thanks so much for looking!!
