Hi, all! Because my gal pal across the world finally got the flip book I made for her, I wanted to share some photos! 🙂 I’m really enjoying making these!!
So this one was made for my new friend, Jackie. She runs a super cute stationary/planner decor shop online called My Decorated Bliss. I was so happy that she contacted me and asked me to swap with her. 🙂
(As always, I had to use a little paper scrap to make this paper tassel to add onto the side. Love making these things!)
When it opens up, I started out with a photo of me on one side- I took the photo while holding this book I made her… I thought that was fun to add in before sending it off!
Then on the other side, I used some alpha stickers I had to write “To Read” and then put my letter inside the envelope.
I also used a paper scrap to make this bow which I attached to a paper clip… perhaps she can use it in one of her super beautiful planners. 😉
The next section has a little flip-out that contains a list of my “currently’s” that I wrote on a tag and tucked into a pocket. I also added in a photo of my view showing what I was doing at the time, too. I did a little sloppy sewing (and we’ll just go ahead and pretend like that was intentional- LOL!) and then washi taped it in place.
Then on the other side I used some cut out words to add a little splash of pretty positivity to the book. As if you can even look at this fun paper collection and not feel jolly anyways, right? 😉
In the next envelope, I put in a baggie filled with some goodies she could use in her projects & then clipped it in place with this cute pink camera paperclip.
In the last section, I taped in a little shaker pocket full of sequins and beads that I made using an old Project Life page protector and my We R Memory Keepers Fuse tool.
And in the last envelope, I tucked in a large shipping tag that I decorated to be the mail tag. Because I’ve had people ask- the mail tag is way to get to know the person you are swapping with… you ask them some questions on it or request something for them to send (i.e. a business card from their favorite restaurant, a postcard, etc.), and when you swap again, you’ll get their answers. It’s fun! 🙂
And there you have it! Super duper fun to make and very cute, if I do say so myself! 😉
The paper collection used in this book is Dear Lizzy Happy Place. (Just so you know, I am using affiliate links in this post because, well, any purchase made through my links can help me run this blog and keep it going. So thank you if you do use them!)
Until my next project!!
