A couple weeks ago, I turned 36.
I’ve loved my 30s. But I also feel like this is the decade where I’ve gone through much trial (and error), much growth, much learning about who I am and what I love to do.
Yet though this process, I discovered the thing that changed it all. I learned that who I am isn’t defined by what I do– it’s not about how the world perceives me or about which job I pursue. I’m not defined by marriage or motherhood or a title either. It’s always, always been about learning Whose I am.
I am God’s daughter.
I’m the King’s servant.
And I’m the Creator’s creation.
…and that makes me so dang happy.
He gave me these gifts. A healthy marriage. A beautiful story of motherhood. The love of all things art. An intellectual mind that asks deep questions, goes on lengthy excursions to find what is the Truth. Anything good in my life is all from Him.
Turns out, if I have the right tools and a healthy perspective, I love to do a GREAT many things.
Photography. Creative documenting. Writing. And now illustrating & design.
I rebranded my shop because I want it to reflect more of me. Originally called Paper Folk, I wanted to open to the idea of designing more than just for my fellow paper crafters. I wanted to offer things to my creator friends, too. Graphics, fonts, etc. Things that can be used in their own work. It will take some time and hard work to fill this shop with all things cute & happy, but it’ll be the good kind of work. I hope you’ll find something that brings a dose of happiness to you, too.
Thanks for your support!
